We push the wheelchair and carry an extra bag, but even then it can still be a challenge! We sometimes chuckle to ourselves about this\u2026 You probably don\u2019t need that much!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are so many ideas about the \u201chospital bag\u201d or the \u201cemergency bag.\u201d We prefer to use the term \u201chospital bag.\u201d There\u2019s really no need to panic, but scrambling to gather your things at the last minute isn\u2019t practical either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Be sure to pack a bag in case you want to give birth at home. You never know if you might have to go to the hospital after all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What should really go in there?<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Documents:<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>ID<\/li><li>Birth Plan<\/li><li>Magazine<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Clothing: <ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Maternity dress\/shirt, nightwear, slippers, and clothes to wear home.<\/li><li>2 outfits for the baby, a jacket, a shawl<\/li><li>A set of clothes for your partner<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Toiletries<\/li><li>Camera\/phone with chargers<\/li><li>Maybe something to eat. You can always ask for food at the hospital! But they don't usually have M&amp;M's in the kitchen \ud83d\ude09<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It should all fit in one bag, right? That'll save the partners some stress! What if you end up having to stay longer?
