After all, being pregnant is exciting enough as it is. That\u2019s why we do everything we can to provide you\u2014or both of you\u2014with the best possible care. Do you have questions? Any doubts? Is there something you\u2019re unhappy about? Please let us know. Preferably as soon as possible, but also if you\u2019ve been thinking about it for a while. Then we\u2019ll talk it over together and try to address it quickly. Maybe we can clear up a misunderstanding. Or put your mind at ease. Or find a way of working that makes you feel more comfortable.<\/p>\n<p>If a discussion is not possible or if a discussion does not resolve your problem, you have the option of submitting your complaint to the Midwifery Dispute Resolution Board of the Royal Dutch Organization of Midwives.<\/p>\n<p>Would you like to learn more about your rights or get some advice? Or would you like to discuss your complaint with someone else first? Or would you prefer to have someone help you file a complaint?<\/p>\n<p>Please contact the complaints officer at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/klachtverloskunde.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">klachtverloskunde.nl. <\/a><\/strong>The ombudsmen are impartial. They will discuss with you what you are dissatisfied with and what you hope to achieve with your complaint. They will advise you on what steps you can take. They will also help you talk to us if you find that difficult, or help you write a letter about the complaint. The ombudsman can help both you and us work together to find a solution. Our first instinct was: \u201cThat\u2019s where we need to be!\u201c And we were right! The very first phone call, when we asked if we could sign up, immediately put us at ease. We were heading into an unfamiliar period, with all the questions we had, the anxiety, and the first little discomforts! They put us at ease right away. The intimate, small-scale setting made us feel right at home. Everyone hears you and knows you. They\u2019re available 24\/7. You can call them even for the smallest things\u2014to discuss something or just to share your story. And if necessary, they\u2019ll be at your door as soon as possible, or they\u2019ll schedule appointments at the hospital for you. They\u2019re not just there for the baby and the mother\u2014they\u2019re also a listening ear for you as a (soon-to-be) family.
