Aandelaak has 5 dedicated midwives and 1 practice assistant. We offer optimal support and guidance throughout the journey to parenthood, pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. We look after both your health and that of your baby.

In addition to being experts, we’re also a small, intimate practice. This allows us to provide you with the best midwifery care.

What does the midwifery share stand for?

Aandelaak Midwives stands for expertise, a small-scale practice, and a highly personalized approach. This allows us to provide you with the best midwifery care—tailored care focused on the client’s wishes. We offer optimal support and guidance throughout the process of trying to conceive, during pregnancy, childbirth, the postpartum period, and when having an IUD inserted.

 

Do you also work in Nijkerk?

Yes, we work there, too. We hold office hours in Hoevelaken, Amersfoort Vathorst, and Nijkerk. You’ll often find us in Nijkerkerveen and Nijkerk!

Who might we encounter during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period?

We work with a permanent team of 5 midwives. During maternity leave or vacations, a substitute midwife may be on duty. Of course, you’ll have the opportunity to meet her in advance!

We have one practice assistant who will answer the phone when you call our landline.

The very first phone call, when we asked if we could sign up, immediately put us at ease. We were heading into an unfamiliar period, with all the questions we had, the anxiety, and the first little discomforts! They put us at ease right away. The intimate, small-scale setting made us feel right at home. Everyone hears you and knows you. They’re available 24/7. You can call them even for the smallest things—to discuss something or just to share your story. And if necessary, they’ll be at your door as soon as possible, or they’ll schedule appointments at the hospital for you. They’re not just there for the baby and the mother—they’re also a listening ear for you as a (soon-to-be) family. The ladies are personable, warm, decisive, friendly, well-informed, and genuinely interested. During my last pregnancy with our twins, I had my checkups at the hospital, but Aandelaak still called me every so often to check in and see how I was doing. Even after the (premature) birth, we stayed in close contact, and I felt incredibly supported.
