During the first few weeks of my pregnancy, we ended up at Aan de Laak. Our first thought was, “That’s the place for us!“ And we were right! The first phone call, asking if we could…
Throughout your pregnancy, we'll keep a close eye on your health and your baby's health.
On this page, we'll walk you through the process.
If your pregnancy test is positive, you can register. We'll schedule an intake appointment for you.
The initial consultation takes place between 8 and 10 weeks. Around 8 weeks, a viability ultrasound can be performed. This is intended to provide more information about your health. The first-trimester ultrasound is then performed around 10–11 weeks. During this scan, we determine exactly how many weeks pregnant you are. Of course, an earlier ultrasound is always possible if there are any concerns. We’ll listen to the baby’s heartbeat at the next checkup, which takes place around 14 weeks.
Choice of standard care or Centering on Pregnancy.
We offer personalized care. If you have any problems or concerns, we can always schedule additional checkups.
We have a Heart-to-Heart Consultation Hour where you can always drop by between 12 and 26 weeks to have the baby's heartbeat checked.
For routine care, we follow the schedule below for checkups:
If necessary, additional ultrasounds will be performed, such as growth ultrasounds.
What happens during the inspections?
If there are things you're unsure about or that worry you, feel free to call us anytime.
We have a contract with every health insurer. All the care we provide is covered under the basic plan. There is no deductible to pay. The reimbursement for outpatient deliveries and postpartum care varies by insurance plan.
Congratulations! If your pregnancy test is positive, please contact us right away. There’s no need to call your primary care physician first. We’ll schedule an appointment for around 8 weeks. You’ll have your first ultrasound right then. For more information, see “Your Journey”.

For the 20-week ultrasound, we usually refer you to a specialized ultrasound clinic, the Prenatal Screening Center. This ensures the quality of this specialized ultrasound examination.
We have two consultation locations: in Hoevelaken and in Vathorst. Consultations are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. It is also possible to schedule an appointment in the evenings.
