Throughout your pregnancy, we'll keep a close eye on your health and your baby's health.

How do we go about it?

If your pregnancy test is positive, you can register. We'll schedule an intake appointment for you.
Initial inspections
The initial consultation takes place between 8 and 10 weeks. Around 8 weeks, a viability ultrasound can be performed. This is intended to provide more information about your health. The first-trimester ultrasound is then performed around 10–11 weeks. During this scan, we determine exactly how many weeks pregnant you are. Of course, an earlier ultrasound is always possible if there are any concerns. We’ll listen to the baby’s heartbeat at the next checkup, which takes place around 14 weeks.
Follow-up inspections

We offer personalized care. If you have any problems or concerns, we can always schedule additional checkups.
We have a Heart-to-Heart Consultation Hour where you can always drop by between 12 and 26 weeks to have the baby's heartbeat checked.
For routine care, we follow the schedule below for checkups:
- up to 24 weeks, every 4 weeks
- Weeks 24 through 30, every 3 weeks
- Weeks 30 through 36, every 2 weeks
- At 36 weeks, there will be a fetal position ultrasound
- Every week from 36 to 42 weeks
If necessary, additional ultrasounds will be performed, such as growth ultrasounds.

Health Insurance
We have a contract with every health insurer. All the care we provide is covered under the basic plan. There is no deductible to pay. The reimbursement for outpatient deliveries and postpartum care varies by insurance plan.
Frequently Asked Questions About Pregnancy
I tested positive—what should I do now?
Congratulations! If your pregnancy test is positive, please contact us right away. There’s no need to call your primary care physician first. We’ll schedule an appointment for around 8 weeks. You’ll have your first ultrasound right then. For more information, see “pregnancy”.
When will I have an ultrasound?
Around 8 weeks, a viability ultrasound can be performed. This is intended to check whether the baby’s heart is beating. The first-trimester ultrasound is then performed around 10–12 weeks. During this exam, we determine exactly how many weeks pregnant you are and calculate your due date. An earlier ultrasound is, of course, always possible if there are any concerns. At 35–36 weeks, a fetal position ultrasound is performed. If necessary, additional ultrasounds will be performed, such as growth ultrasounds.
For the 13- and 20-week ultrasounds, we will refer you to an ultrasound clinic that is specially qualified for this purpose, the Prenatal Screening Center. This ensures the quality of this specialized ultrasound examination.
When and where do you hold your office hours?
We have three consultation locations: in Hoevelaken, Amersfoort Vathorst, and Nijkerk. Consultations are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. It is also sometimes possible to schedule an appointment in the evening.
