You're a few days late… You pee on a test strip and… one line? Or is it two? Pregnant or not pregnant? Two! Pregnant! Euphoria! Or maybe not? Help—what now? You’re actually pregnant! Something you’ve thought about so much as a woman is suddenly a reality! Baby, baby bump, work, maternity leave, boy or girl, ultrasound, stroller, nursery, nausea, tiredness, midwife… All these thoughts are racing through your head! FFirst things first!
Step 1: Call
Call Give us a call! It’s actually great to call us early in the day. That way, we’ll have time to schedule your first appointment and can provide you with information and tips right away. Step 2: Initial Consultation and Ultrasound
Around the 8 weeks is your first follow-up appointment. This appointment lasts 45–60 minutes. We’ll discuss your medical history and those of the family and ask questions. Step 3: Prenatal Visit
This is a step you don't have to take, but it's very important to us. Quality of Care is our top priority. We discuss all new expectant mothers during our practice meetings. We create a care plan that we’ll go over with you later. Of course, we’ll also ask for your opinions and thoughts!
Step 4: Prenatal Ultrasound
Between the 10 and 12 weeks We can do a first-trimester ultrasound! You’ll already be able to see a tiny little person with arms and legs. We can start determining the due date. Don’t confuse this date with the delivery date… It’s only accurate in 3% of cases…. Sorry, we can’t be any more precise than that 😉
Step 5: Miscellaneous Administrative Tasks
Arranging postpartum care, getting a blood test, the 20-week ultrasound, a class? Yep, yep—now it’s time to get started! We’ll provide you with all the information you need during your first checkups.
Step 6: Follow-up Checks
After that, you can choose between Centering Pregnancy or standard care. The further along the pregnancy is, the more frequently checkups will be scheduled.
We offer customized solutions. So what are your needs? Scheduling an additional appointment is no problem for us (at no extra cost, of course)!
During each checkup, we’ll discuss something specific. By the end of the process, we’ll have gone over everything. And, of course, feel free to ask any questions you have—that way, you’ll be well-informed as soon as labor begins!
